And today's harvest...
Nice harvest you have going. And those bulls eyes are beautiful..
There's nothing like homegrown beets. Boy they were good. Just one complaint - the golden beets were almost too sweet!
I have a couple of large reds that are seriously blushing. I'm going to pick them before I leave on Wednesday and hope that they will ripen nicely for camp dinner.
Sequee, that's awesome.. Got to let me know the name of the golden beets. My single weakness is sweets.. And combine that with fruits or veggies, me in hog heaven.. I'm just starting my veggie bed for fall crops and next year. So, I'm looking for what to plant. Those beets sound great.

You will love them! The Jewel Tone's and Detroit Red were terrific as well. Just wish I'd had a wee bit of sour cream for them!
Sequee.. Wow.. 385 seeds per packet.. Don't think I can use more than 30.. You think that they will stay good or should I find a place that sells fewer seeds?? Or am I suppose to sow it at different intervals?? Obviously, I'm a newbie here..
They will keep a good long time if you store them in a cool dry place. In fact, I think my seeds are from 2005. And, in fact #2, I think I have enough to give you a couple dozen seeds if you'd like to "try before you buy". You may be able to do a fall crop? (Ask the expert.)

If you want to share a few seeds, I'd love to accept.. I recently purchased some artichoke seeds, you want some?? :) I don't know if I can do fall crops for that though.. Hum... And I have tons of salad seeds.. Let me know if you want some of those too.
To be honest, I have no idea what to sow for fall crops.. Was poking around to see what other people were sowing for the fall...
Expert - not me! I'm pretty new to the game. Farmerdill, Zeppy or 'Shoe are the ones to ask. Probably worth a separate thread if we really want answers.
Will do cuz I really have no idea what works for fall crops.. So you want any artichoke or salad seeds? And I'm not kidding.. I got salad seeds coming out of my ears.. Guess you can say I went a bit nuts with the salad seeds.. But I can't help that.. Me big bunny.. **bunny sniffing around** :)
