I don't remember seeing a thread for Rum Runner recently, and this is such a lovely cultivar with its changing colors. I know this one is quite popular, but the colors really ARE irresistible! First shot is a close-up taken mid-morning, shortly after the bloom opened.
And here's a shot taken mid-afternoon (both today). Notice how the pink/salmon of the morning, has changed to an orange this afternoon. It's just so pretty, particularly with my Brugmansia Charles Grimaldi blooming overhead.
Just so you know, Kell, it looks especially gaudy when both of those are blooming in congress with a bright pink azalea next to Rum Runner, lol ;-)
Very nice edition to our Sunday!!! I had 4 open on mine today and it was exceptional to say the least. Definitely a favorite.
Another one to add to my growing list. Nice pictures and a pretty hibiscus.

I want to do a collage of closeups and frame for on the wall.I want to use one of those layered frames with the photos overlapping. Kinda abstract shape to fit the subjects. :-)
Kyle, that would be super cool. Take a picture (of the pictures, lol) of the collage and post it so we can all see!
Great pic, especially with the little purple underneath! Isn't this just a great cultivar? I've got three lovely blooms open today :-)
