I've got blooms on three pretty pinks today. The first one is Belle de Jour - I just love the crinkly texture of this one!
Three pretty pinks
Second is one that is relatively new to me, Young at Heart. This pic is one of the first blooms, but the pics I took this morning didn't come out quite as nice. I actually had purchased "Fairy Queen" towards the beginning of the year and had been patiently waiting for it to bloom. Turns out it was a mismarked Young at Heart. Although I still want Fairy Queen, this one is bright and pretty - definitely a keeper :-)
And third is a first bloom on Raspberry Swirl, not a super great picture for this one, but the plant is very tiny and I expect the blooms to get even prettier as the plant grows.
I was hoping that Fragile Moment (a soft pink double) would open today, but apparently she's on her own time schedule, hopefully to open tomorrow morning. If so, I'll post her pic on this thread.

Awesome pic's very nice hybrids aren't they?
Thanks :-) Yes, they are lovely hybrids. Each and every one is "my favorite", lol.
Amarantha, each and every one of these hibiscus are my favorites too. It seems all I have to do is see a new one and it becomes the favorite of the moment. LOL
I WANT them all.
LOL Ardesia - me too, I not only WANT them all, I NEED them all, lol ;-) My DD, in addition to calling me the crazy plant lady, says I have hibiscus ADD...
Gosh, they are all nice, but that Raspberry Swirl is awesome. Great pictures. I'd love to see your place when they are all blooming. Must be gorgeous.
You have beautiful PICS and collection!!!! I had a several bloom today. I was going to take some PICS but decided to install my automatic drip today. I have several cultivars and am extreamly tired of hand watering each day sometimes 2 times depending on the heat here. It saves me about 3 hours a day. Now life is great. I can relax and enjoy them even more. I am raising my 2 teenage daughters by myself and my hibi's are my therapist!!!! LOL
Robert
Robert, That's what I need, a drip system for all my pots. I water heavily (usually) once per day, and it is quite time consuming. Having two teenaged daughters (although one is in college now), I totally understand ;-) My plants are my therapy too. I've told my not-plant-friendly DH that I don't know what I would have done with myself being housebound for almost a year if it wasn't for my garden. Of course, when I get back to work (hopefully in another month or so), I'm gonna have to do something, as I'll be too tired to spend all my off-time watering!
Thanks for the compliment :-) I'm in the process of doing a photosite with plant pics by "Amarantha, the Crazy Plant Lady", lol. I've got folders (almost all close-ups) for Hibiscus and Daylilies, and am starting a folder for roses, and another for "miscellaneous cool plant pics". Do you think I'm obsessed, lol ;-)

raspberry swirl is yummy yummy yummy!
Kyle:-)
Your plants will love the drip system; it is perfct for Hibiscus in pots, especially if you live in a hot or windy area where things can dry out quickly. It keeps the soil at just the perfect moisture level and the plants love it.
I've had to temporarily turn mine off and the poor hibbies are crying, they were so spoiled.
Oh Karen, too bad you are going back to work. You need to wait till after the garden season!!
I could use a watering system too. I am it here. I find my hibs also need to be watered every day. They soon drop leaves when I do not.
Raspberry Swirl is one I have not seen before and I love it. I have Belle du Jour and it is so great and the texture really adds to its beauty.
I can imagine teenage daughters are enough to give you premature white hair. Growing up in todays's world is not easy.
Rasberry Swirl is make me hungry for ice cream!
