Hi everyone, I just joined and i'm hoping to learn a lot and have fun in the process. I live in a rural area and really love to grow cacti and succulents along with a few houseplants.Looks like a lot of friendly people here and I am happy to be part of your group:)

Hi ya'll. Thanks for the welcome:) I have been busy looking at some of the forums here. Gee there is so much to see! Thanks for pointing out the cacti and mid-south forums. I headed straight over there and checked those out first------soooo much information!!
Glad you liked the picture. That was a bromiliad that I grew last year. I don't know the name but it was the first one that ever bloomed for me. The little lavender flowers were sooo pretty and they took turns blooming all along the stalk in the middle. I still have the plant and it looks great but no stalk or flowers so far this year.Hummmm I don't really know much about bromiliads:need to check and see if there is a bromiliad forum here.
