When I had the sprinkler running a couple weeks ago (in my water-restricted time and day allotment, I assure everyone) I watched as a hummer flitted into the stream of water, squeaking in enjoyment. He'd travel with the stream, where it went, he did, and when the stream got close to the ground, he'd come back to the starting point and preen a bit, waiting for the stream to return to him and he'd follow it again until it got close to the ground.
I watched him repeat this pattern for prob. a good 10 minutes.
Tthey're so fun to watch... and he was having a blast.

At our last house, we had a few roses and one morning while I was dead-heading, I turned my head while in a bent over position and was eye to eye with a hummer bathing in a rose. The dew had settled in the flower and here was this little thing just having a wonderful bath. Didn't dare stand up and spoil the moment! Talk about wanting a camera.
