Your patience has rewarded you with lovely flowers. After a two year wait, you must be very pleased.

Doesn't it feel GREAT?

Is the first one Frosty Pink?

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

There are so many look alikes that it would be impossible to tell. I would enjoy it for what it is: a NOID ( No Id). Last winter, my DH took over watering my greenhouse plants because I had bad problems. Instead of watering individual pots, he put the overhead sprinkler on. Many of the labels faded, some beyond identification. Now those are NOIDs. :-( But I can still enjoy the blooms. I'm still waiting for most of them to bloom what with the grasshoppers and all.

I do have to confess Im terrible with names and after 2 years Im lucky I remember my own name. These were given to me in trade and yes I plant to enjoy them for their look not their name. My gardening motto is, If I like the way it looks, It's mine :)

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

LOL Your motto reminds me of a few neighbors I had back in San Jose. Only they never asked, they just took. Some came into the backyard to take my ripe persimmons.

I love the first one -- so delicate. Seems to have some lavander undertones, at least on my computer screen Very nice and well worth the wait!!

bettydee; lol, that ain't no neighbor! Have they moved away yet? LOL. Anaid, congratulation on your new blooms. I'm too twisting my thumps awaiting my brugs to bloom. my "NOID" (thanks betty), white are making buds 3 folds compared to my last summer. So, yes, I'm excited.

No, we moved halfway across the country. The thefts continued until we sold the property. I hear the new owners cut all my beautiful trees and shrubs down because they wanted a low maintenance yard.

Creamsickle, one of my favorites, has a number of buds again (second flush). I'm so glad she survived last's years horrible grasshopper attacks. She lost so many branches to them that I thought I was going to lose her.

I didnt mean to imply that I "take" what isnt mine. If I like it I buy it for myself and dont worry about the name of it.......Sorry that u had those kinds of neighbors but I assure u that I can very well buy any plant that appeals to me and would never resort to taking without permission.

Anaid, that first picture is so beautiful! Very good shot there, and such a delicate and lovely bloom! Does it have fragrance? I always ask that..LOL I can just imagine the soft heavenly scent. Congratulations

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

I love fragrances too. One of my first purchases was one called Citrine. The flower was small, true lemon yellow, but the fragrance was heavenly and carried across the yard. Unfortunately, it didn't make it through the winter even in the greenhouse.

Anaid, I didn't mean to imply anything. I'm sorry it upset you. The motto just brought back old memories.

Anaid; that was how I intepretate it. Like you, I love my flowers the way they are. NOID is a name I'll call all my beloved no I.D. plants. Named or not. As long as it pleases my senses.
Thank you, for sharing your blosoms for us to admire. While I wait for mine to wake up. :-)

So pretty and such a delicate colour....scent? :)

Nice pictures. I like the way you think. Names of plants don't usually make for concern if I like them, except for brugs. A few other plants, I will try to find the name of, but it isn't going to drive me nuts if I don't know what it is as long as it's pretty or unusual. Brug names are important if you are going to hybridize, but I'm even getting to old to do that. Enjoyment is number one for me these days. I know you are enjoying your blooming brug. How many more will you be wanting? LOL!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Cute, brugie. It's nice to see some of our experienced growers, hybridizers, on DG. I blindly reponded to a different tread, only to laugh at myself (never at others -- if I may say), when I looked at the original post dated back 3 years ago. Tehehehehe. Brugs are definately eye-candies, likes Clematis, likes Roses, likes all the "favorites" us gardeners all love.
Happy gardening.

I've heard that expression before. LOL I have a thrifty sister who says, "If it's free, it's for me!"

Me; if I'm at a nursery and see something fabulous I silently say, "mine, mine, mine!" No wonder my wallet is often empty. LOL I have a lot of named brugs, but sometimes I see a fabulous un-named at a nursery and think I should get that too. Somebody stop me!

Well said mpa, looking inside my wallet. LOL.

Bettydee: N.P. I just didnt want others to get the wrong impression about me. I love my plants but definitely respect others. Luckily I do get alot of offers when I do admire other's plants. A lady I dont know down the street came over when I was out in the yard last week and brought me a picece of her Hibiscus (I think she might've seen me slow down when driving by admiring her Hibs) Gardeners tend to want to share the beauty of their plants with others.

Brugie: I'll leave the Hybridizing to Mother Nature :) As for how many more? I am trying to learn how to multiply what I have so if and when I get others I can do the same. I got some very good advice from Dan after I saw his pics of the Brugs he has (BEAUTIFUL!!!!) I like the colors I have now but I might want to get colors that are striking so they can be seen and attract attention in my garden.

I have one that is called Peaches and Cream that is still only 2ft tall. Does anyone know the color of the flower? I love learning how to care for plants based on their individual needs.

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

It looks like a soft peach color. I have one, but it hasn't "Y"ed yet.
