Well, I have one bloomin'

Georgetown, SC(Zone 8a)

"Moy Giant" getting ready to go - 2 months earlier than last year. Don't know why it was so late then, or is it early now? Hmmmm.
No sign of bloom on my other Hedy's yet. This fella has made me very happy, though. :)

Beautiful!

I have one getting ready to bloom too.It is one of the Thai ones but I don't remember which.

When you come up here,we may be able to trade rhizomes.

Good idea! Here's the same one today.
I have another one "coccineum" , which didn't bloom last year and I thought it was because I planted it too late in the season. It has spread and is 5 ft tall, but no sign of a bloom there. I remain hopeful. :)
I hope you'll put up a pic of yours when the blooms arrive.

Finally the blooms opened. This is one of the Thai variety that some some other members of DG bought last year or maybe 2 years ago.We bought them as rhizomes. It was chantell who told us about this grower.
