Any one know about Thermoplanter

Hello I was wondering if anyone had experience with the Thermoplanter? I want to know if more than one waterlily can be planted in there at any given time.. Thanks.

Sounds like a wonderful new tool! The website still looks like is under construction so not very helpful. I sent an email to the company and will let you know what I find out.

I got a reply back from the thermoplanter site. I also went back to try and find dealers without any luck. If you click on the dealers tab it just instructs you to fill out a form. It is a great idea, but at 40-50 dollars each they are a little pricey for me. I think they are just getting started and that is why the web site is not very helpful.

Hi Ann,
Thank you for your email on the Thermoplanter. They come in one size with a growing area of 2.75 gallons which will accomodate any lily you wish to grow. I have hade great success with growing two lilies at a time. I like using a day bloomer and a night bloomer for around the clock blooms if you plant them right next to each other they mature to look like one plant only with different leaves on each side of the plant (it looks really cool) Just make sure you start with plants that are about the same size. Fertilize every 10-14 days with 4-6 aquatic tabs at a time. The price ranges from 40-50 dollars depending on who you purchase from. You can find my mail order dealers on my web site on the dealer link at the top of the home page. Good luck and feel free to contact me if you have any questions at all. My direct email is markp@thermoplanter.com

I got a thermoplanter! It is a good sized pot. The outer pot looks like a black nursery pot without holes and there is a sturdy inner pot that fits snugly into the black pot to put the lily or other water plants in.The heating unit sits in an indentation in the inner pot and looks very sturdy. An instruction book is included with directions on how to grow specific plants in the thermoplanter. There are also helpful hints on the heating element itself. It comes with a thin foam cover that attaches to the inner pot with some plastic plugs both to retain heat by the root zone and would also serve to keep our wonderful scaled pets from rooting in the pot. The cord is a nice length and looks like it will be very durable. From looking at the various components I can tell a lot of thought went into the design. I have not been able to plant anything yet because of the weather here right now. The actual temps have been near or over 100 degrees with the heat index higher than that. I nearly gave myself a heat stroke this weekend soaking the stuff I have planted in pots outside. Will post more once I am able to go back into the garden without being concerned about bursting into flame!

That's awesome. You got one. I was going to get one but it's really for my father-in-law. He's the one with the waterfall pond. The thing is I don't think there a place for him to plug it in. I'm still trying to figure out how to make it work...
