Well I finally

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

Got to meet Diana (WantabeGardener) & Gary on Saturday the 14th, they stopped by and brought me a couple of plants, It was really great to meet them, I got a pic of them, but Diana told me I could not put it on here :o) lol Diana let me know the next time you are going to be down this way so we can make plans for you and Gary to have dinner with us.

AND I got to meet Dori (notmartha) in person and walk among and thru her gardens, and oh my my my what she sent home with me.

Well little sister, I planted a few last night and more this morning and lord I am gonna try my best to get the rest planted this evening or by tomorrow lol. Just to let you know, that branch of the false Baptisia that had all those seed pods on it, well Ken set it on top of the van when he was sitting in it and forgot all about it, so when he drove it to the back by the gardens it fell off (somewhere) lol
I will have to take pics of the ones that I don't know so you can remind me what they are again, that way I can make labels for them all. Ken ended up driving just about 50 miles from your house and had to stop at a rest area and let me drive the rest of the way home, that headache he was getting went full blown. By the time I got thru Detroit I had one. Traffic was awful, took us a good 2 hours just thru that area alone. But Ken did say he would love to come back for a visit :o) So will let you know when that will be. I don't look for it to be all that long away either. I can pick up that desk to. Well we are getting ready to take off to the tractor show and fleamart. Maybe catch you on later this evening.

Dori there are 3 pics each plant is numbered. (they look beaten down and like they are going to die, but I am sure they will bounce back) Also the last pic there are only two plants in it and for everyone else there is the pic of me and Dori and Ken and Dori. And the new old garden toy Ken (dh) bought me today.

I hope you don't mind me posting these pics Dori, you didn't tell me I couldn't ;-)

I discovered seed pods on one of my baptisia this year. I don't recall ever seeing seed pods on it before. They are still on the plant. Not sure what to do with them. Will they grow from seed if I just bury the seed pods in the soil now? I love the bush and wouldn't mind having more of them.

Glad you got to meet another DG'ner in person. That must be a treat and you have lots of little plants to mark the occasion.

Hehehe...thanks Connie..for not posting the picture....Hate pic. of me..About the Baptisia...the pods let them dry on the plant..Watch the deer they love to eat mine..lol..it takes some time..to bloom from seed..but it can work. do not plant the whole pod..when dry crack it open..many seeds inside..make sure they dry.. I have some white too..there is also yellow..forgot the right names for them...

Loon, It was a great treat, she is such a sweet heart. We are planning on going back hopefully next month to spend a few days. We just have to get our schedules to match up lol

The whole back end of our envoy was full of plants and then I ended up leaving some behind. not sure how, but then again I really didn't have room for more rofl. Had them stacked on top of each other. the ones in the pics are just the ones I didn't remember what they were. But I did finally manage to get all but 3 planted.

It was also a great pleasure to meet Diana & Gary. Such sweet sweet people :o)

He is 22 and made the desicion on his own. But Im biting my nails and really miss him. But he will be fine. We had a wonderful vacation jusr recently in Taquamonon falls the weather was really different than here. We camped for four nights. Hoteled it for 1 night:) Cant believe that is over with the time flies when you are gone. But beautiful scenery. Loved our time in the U.P. This is apicture of my son and I. Ronna,

That is a great picture of you and your handsome son. He favors you quite a bit I think. I'm sure you will miss him. I'm betting he'll be getting lots of care packages from his mama while he's gone. :) I have a cousin whose son was stationed over in Iraq. It was nice he could email right from there to the family. He's back home now. To stay I hope.

If any of you all are over AuGres way stop in and visit me. If you come after the daylilies are through blooming you can even divide them for me and take all you want home with you. hee hee hee I have some pretty peach ones and some other ones that are bi-colored. I don't know anybody's name. I hate dividing anything. :)

Ronna, You have a fine looking son, and he does look like you :o) can't believe you had to take your son there. When Nathan joined the Navy 15 years ago, they came to the house and picked him up, we weren't allowed to take him to the airport. Guess they figured we try to talk him out of it. lol But he made the choice and there was no swaying him. Really didn't try to stop him, just made sure thats what he wanted to do. It was hard for me to see my baby leave, but! it was a good career move on his part. It's been hard over the years but he really enjoys it. He kept telling me just before his 4th year was up that he was getting out, then he reinlisted for another 4 years, and again at the end of that he said he was going to get out, then changed his mind AGAIN lol now he has 5 years to go and he will have to retire once he reaches the 20th year if he doesn't make chief, But if he makes chief he will be in for another 4 years. He is an Instructor right now, the picture is of him in the class room where he teaches, taken last year. Its hard to believe he will be 34 in Nov. He joined in Sept just before his 19th birthday.

Loon and Connie you are to kind I think thats an awful picture of me not my son. I have my eyes closed. But any way. we had to take him cause they told him the wrong time to be at the recruiters headquarters. But I told him I wouldve driven him to Florida if thats where he had to go. Connie your son is very handsome. You must be busting your buttons of being proud. I am, hes only been in for not even a week yet and everyone I know, knows he is in boot camp in Fort Knox. The Army gave us this sign to put in the front yard. Connie Im glad you are there for me maybe I will need to lean on you once and a while. Ronna

Connie,

What a great pic of your son! I think it's great that he knew so young just what he wanted to do with his life. I hope he makes Chief if that is his goal.

Ronna, I had no idea they give you a sign for your yard. What a great gesture! I know how proud you must be. I think it's safe to say we are all proud of our men and women in the military. It takes great strength to put your life on hold to be of service to your country.
