Gessiegail..Oh My.. Christmas In July.. : ))
Nice haul! Must have really made your day!
Gail... you're a sweetie!
Merry Christmas, Nancy! Santa Gail was good to you! They look like they traveled perfectly .... yep, Miss Gail is a pro at packaging plants!
Karen and Lin,Oh yesss It definitely made my day : ))
great box!! ; )
I am sooooooooo embarrassed that I lose the tags to everything..........if the tag wasn't there Cedarnest...........i have no idea who she is...................that Red Ryder is a Kohleria........she is not big at all.........i would take her out of the original soil and put her back in the same size or same container with your own soil...........you may also have to put a little more soil on the plantlets if any fell out............
I just have to grow..........it is a disease.........................
hee hee .... It is an addiction, isn't it?
WooHoo!!!!! What a box of goodies Nancy. Gail's sure is a sweetie!
Yes, don't look at this as a gift..............I have to get things out.............I just planted over 100 leaves this week...................no, more than that................now we have to see if the babies with the mothers traveled to TN at Rain's house..............I hope so...........because if that works., i don't even have to plant the plantlets except for what I actually need.
Thanks everyone for sharing in my joy! Yes Gail is a sweetie for sure : )
Gail. This is my very 1st Kohleria .I was so nervous repotting it..you would think I was preforming brain surgery.LOL Anything new just excites me to no end.
Edited to add: I can't wait to hear about Amys new arrivals.

Oh I know it.........it would save me so much time if I could just send out mother and babies and let other people divide them and pot up............I always plant 2 or 3 leaves.........I don't even need all of the babies on 1 leaf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow that would save you alot of time.Hope it works good traveling to amys.
Please don't ever get the idea Nancy that I will continue to pot up these babies............I don't have room............................that just happened to be my first babies and I couldn't bear to throw them away..........just seems too horrible (LOL)
*********************and I don't want any of them back (still laffin')
I figured you had to be running out of room with all the propagating you do.LOL Wish starting leaves was as easy for me.I do ok..but boy do they take along time to make babies for me.Summer is better with the warmer weather and they come up pretty quick but winter it takes sooo long.
I wonder, would a heat mat speed them up do you all think?
Funny you should mention that...I was actually thinking of ordering one from Parks to try this winter.I think that might be just the thing I need.It would be nice for my grown plants too I bet in this cold old house.
bottom heating helps a lot.............but those heating mats are expensive and there is a cheaper better way to accomplish both heat and light for baby leaves..........here is where i start all mine.............after about a month, they then go under light on the gro light stands (with the light being about 10" over them)
In a set up like i have in the kitchen........you could use old book shelves, too.........i have done that in previous years on other plant cuttings, etc...........all you need are the light fixtures that are OPEN with two bulbs and the cheapest you can buy...........when they are attached underneath a wooden shelf, there is much heat created under the baby leaves...........
*********** I am not talking about light fixtures like a shop light.............all there is are two exposed bulbs attached under and against each bottom of shelf...........
Nancy, that is such a wonderful lot of plants! I know you love them all! My box from Gail didn't arrive yesterday, so it should be here today. I'm excited about it! Will let you all know when it arrives. :o)
The post office is tracking Rain's down at this minute...............my computer on USPS says it was mis sent...........most upset as Rain's has the tiniest things in it............wonder if Jannich got hers????????????
