I gave these guys fresh passionvine at 7:30 this morning. I checked at lunchtime and it was almost all gone. I got a picture of about half of the cats in the cage. And then I went and cut another piece of vine for them.

Had to share this picture
They're quite the porkers!
Great photo! Gotta love those Gulf Frits...I only wish I had Zebra Heliconias or Mexican and Variegated Frits in that abundance!!!

Ah...and just think...before you know it you'll be having an equal amount of Gulf Frit chrysalids all over the place.
Here's a photo of some I collected. Several buggers made their chrysalis on the bottom wire rung of some broadcloth screen I have screening my front porch. They were only about one inch off the ground so I clipped away the last wire rung and brought them inside. I was too afraid to leave them just hanging there as they'd make a delectable crunchy snack for all the lizards gadding about.
At least the majority of them had the sense to climb up further on the wall and hang from the eaves :o)

Cat,
That's a great way to do them. Good thing you got to them first. That's why I put mine in their little cages. I used to lose so many to those dang lizards. Even inside my screen porch.

Great idea, Cat! Love your line-up!!!
Terrie - Saw somewhere on another post where you were coming to Sebastian to see your son. I missed seeing the post until recently. Bummer! I've been having issues with my computer and had it in for servicing. Just got it back today! If you come down this way again, d-mail me! :-) All your GFs look awesome!!! I am soooooo jealous! If you run outta food (vines), I've certainly got plenty in my yard and not a single GF to be seen! I don't mind sharing clippings of my vines! :-)
Becky - not a problem. I'm sure I'll be down there again soon. My son loves to barbecue and occasionally they invite me down. (lol)
I'll be heading to Vero tomorrow to take a rain barrel workshop at the extension office.
