One I raised this spring...finally. It's probably going to rain again today, so we'll see when I can release it. Oh, man, they get so big!

Beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing. That butterfly is truly awesome!!! Lucky you...we don't get them this far south.

It's been raining just about every day here. This is the wettest I've seen it in years. We needed the water...but I'm getting awfully tired of the mushy ground. At least it will do wonders for all the plants...just don't want to think of the all the skeeters that will show up.

How exciting, Linda! And what a beaut it is! Wonderful photo, too! :-)

And another pic I took just before I let it go yesterday. Part of the day we even had sunshine! Still rained again later on. I hear the vegetation is so lush on Texas ranches that livestock are sleek and happy from just grazing on the land and the deer don't show up at the feeders much on deer leases. I haven't been seeing many kinds of butterflies since that butterfly epidemic...pretty much just the GFs (plenty of butterflies and cats) and the little ones like skippers and such. But yesterday the Buckeyes were outside...nice to see them back. I've got one Spicebush cat and one RSP cat left.
