It's bathtime! But how often?

Victoria, TX(Zone 9b)

Allrighty folks.... Both boys at my house get a hose-down after a good ride in the summer months. Helps 'em cool off, and I feel like it's a great reward for a good workout. Chewie throws his whole body into it, often sticking his head & face directly into the water stream. Romeo will lean in, as long as I steer clear of the baby's face... wimp! :)

How often do ya'll get out the shampoo? Do you scrub tails & manes more often? Anybody in the fan club of "wash, condition, braid & bag" for tails? What's your favorite shampoo? Trainer for Chewie brought out an Oster berry shampoo for her lesson horse after my last lesson. Flent sure did enjoy his bath. :) Silly boy!

My guys usually get a shampoo-ey bath once a month, and, for the most part, that's the only time I mess with their tails, otherwise leaving them get all straggly & tangled. When I was combing Chewie's tail out once a week or more, it kept breaking and not getting any longer. Leaving it be except for a once a month comb, scrub, sometimes conditioning, it's growing at a little faster rate.

Is it bathtime at anybody's house yet? ;)
