Are there any perennial herb seeds you can start now?

Summer sowing for herb seeds?

Conneaut, OH(Zone 5a)

Its a little late in the season but you could probably start anything you want. You have shortened the growing season considerably. If you don't expect much out of the plant, just want to get it started . Go for it.Next year it should take off.I found a packet of lavender seed, that I forgot about and recently planted. They are coming up,but again,I am not expecting much out of it this year.Half the fun is experimenting.Seed is cheap.Have fun. You can start perennial herbs now if you like. You wont' be able to harvest much from them and they may not get a chance to bloom, but you'll get a jump start on next season. I like to sow my biennials in the fall for that reason.
