She sure is. Wish they would all decide to bloom like that right now.

Wow, looks great! Isn't this one a bloom machine??

I've noticed that in the heat, the morning color is darker fading out in the afternoon to a really lovely lighter yellow. Here's mine from this morning.

Beautiful Bloom. I really like the peach color when it opens. Here is a PIC from this morning also.

That's really pretty. The nice thing is the fade (yellow) color is just as pretty, to me at least, as the peach :-)

You are absolutely right!!! The colors from bloom to close make a perfect combination. Kudos to Dupont on this one!!!

Great pictures Karen and Robert. I may have to get VQ. Just beautiful.

You know Brugie, this cultivar is also sold under the "hotbiscus" label. I don't know if you have an Armstrong Garden Center in Iowa, or if any of your local nurseries carry the hotbiscus line, but our local Armstrongs had a whole bunch of very large Voodoo Queens for about $30.

I've also seen it for sale on the www.hiddenvalleyhibiscus.com website (even though it is a DuPont cultivar, Charles Black carries a number of the Cajuns). I've noticed that this cultivar grows quickly and blooms quite a lot. So even if you get a little one (like I did), it should grow up real quick :-)

Thanks Karen, I'm going to have it on my list for spring purchase. I love hibiscus that are good bloomers. I don't know of any Armstrong Garden Centers, but that doesn't mean there aren't some here. I will check.
