Going to the post office in a few hours, and thought if I could arrange a quick trade, or two, I could pack these up, and mail while I'm at it, already.
These are mazus reptans runners that I pulled while thinning out my mazus areas. Most already have roots, and they root really easily.
I usually take a claw cultivator, scratch the soil to one inch deep, water till soggy, and then just press, or step these into the "mud".
This may seem like an odd time of year for it, but this is when they propagate themselves...I had runners rooting in the air on top of other runners, lol...
Here is a photo of it blooming this Spring
HAVE: Mazus reptans groundcover...lots of runners with roots
Those are awesome,. I love how you have them growing between the stepping stones. I don;t have much to trade for though. I have lots of Mexican flame vine seeds fresh on the vine?

I have that vine already, but impressed you got it going from seeds...I've tried the seeds, and they never germinate for me...
Do you have any of those passies that are on your trade list, rooted? Especially mollissima?
Do you have any shade plants?
Not rooted yet. Using Superthrive to get them to grow faster. Very weak as of now.
SOrry i am out of this one I suppose. I also just researched Mazus reptans and am unsure if it will grow here in a 9B zone. MAybe when I move to Carolinas it will be better for me

Heya! I would love to trade for a box of Mazus reptans runners... Hopefully they'll travel all right in the summer heat, or do you think MD is too far for them to go?
I'm pretty sure we could figure out a good trade, but my end might have to wait for a better time to divide or ship, depending on what we work out. I checked your trade "wants" to see if I have anything similar to plants you mentioned there... while I can't promise the outcome of my propagating efforts, I'm currently trying to layer some Clematis montana v. rubrum, and I've got extra volunteer seedlings of Corydalis lutea (pretty foliage and yellow blooms). Since you seem to have some other part-shade plants, I might be able to interest you in some of my Columbines (wintersown seedlings coming along well in pots, probably best to ship in cooler weather). I've also got some different Coral Bell cultivars that I could try to divide, hopefully have them well rooted for you by the end of summer. And I should have african violets, episcias, and other house plants to share this fall also. There's lots of other possibilities "out there," I'm sure, and if you want a little extra insurance with regard to a now & later exchange like this, I'd be happy to reimburse you for postage (and then you could do the same when I send you a box).
What do you think?
seedpicker_TX - would LOVE some if you have any remaining...what types of plants are you interested in?
I need shade perennials and newly interested in sedums and mini "stepables" type plants.
How about some black jack sedum?

what could you find me if i could send you a black jack sedum?
please dmail me thxs
Would you be willing to trade for creeping thymes? I might still need a little time to pot up some divisions for you so they'd have good roots before shipping... while it would probably work find to send you layered divisions with shallow rooted runners, I think they'd be more robust if I potted them for a couple of weeks first... But they'd probably ship fine in the heat, and I could ship them right out if you'd prefer. I've got a seed-grown English type thyme that gets 4 to 6 inches tall, and I've got a couple of lower-growing varieties also. They are definitely "steppable," as I've got them growing around the perimeter of my patio, but they do need some sun...
Or if you and Chantell work out a trade, maybe she'll propagate the Mazus and share it with me this fall... I'm sure I can find something for her in return, even if I have to dig it up on the spot on plant swap day! :-)
Seedpicker - That is an awesome photo! I dont even know what it is, but the picture made me want it ;)
Suzy
Suzy-
Thank you. It is pretty easy to photograph in the Spring...there is not a bad angle on it, lol...

Do you have 'Lynda Windsor' sedum? It's a purple-y/blue-green one that gets almost black as summer goes on. I also have creeping sedums in various hues & bloom colors.
summerkid-
send me an email, ok? I'd love to see what creeping sedums you have
OK! I need to go out in the daylight & see which ones are labeled.
Taylor,
If you have enough plants I would LOVE some of these. These are great!
Maybe I can come up with something else that you might like.
I have to move my plants around and can make a list for you.
I think the only sedum that I have is:
Sedum Six-Sided Stonecrop Yellow Sedum sexangulare Yellow Sedum’
Here is photo of it

Also have
African Milk Bush Synadenium grantii 'Rubrum' [Succulent]
and another type that is Green with specks that I haven't looked up the name yet.
And this:
Bush Lily ‘Orange’ Clivia miniata
Anyways, let me know if you are interested and I'll put a list of plants together for you.
Thanks,
Emma
