Ice Plants

San Antonio, TX

Have cuttings (red or fushia colored) for postage; if interested pls email me and include your DG name and real name so I can reserve your Ice Plant. The postage should be enough to send priority.

That's what I thought... It doesn't look like it'll survive the NY winters.. Maybe next time then..

I have the same plant in Va and it does come back. This winter was terrible for us, not during winter but during spring = which was like winter. The plant is stunning.

Anaid, I don't think I want to chance it. I'm suppose to be in zone 5b but our streets like a wind tunnel. I usually get stuff that's at least zone 4 or colder. But thank you.. I'm sure there's a ton of people that's interested.. Lindy

Fortunately for the cuttings there are alot of people. I have it growing in numerous huge pots where large Hibiscus and other trees grow. There are some in my rock/cactus garden. All of these survived a very unusual and very cold winter for us. That's how I know they are very hardy.

I'm TRYING to grow delosperma 'mesa verde' on a very steep hill of ours. My husband is not exactly with the program, as it were, so I have sll these plants in pots waiting for spots. I also got some 'cooperi' plants in a trade that were just rolled up in a damp paper towel - I thought they were goners, but they are instead filling in all my mangy containers with lush greenery. I'm amazed that they're so hardy. [We'll see exactly how hardy after a winter in New England!]

They're in the plantfiles.

Im pleasantly surprised I've had more requests for this plant than I originally expected. Im glad cuz I do have so much of it and I hate to dispose of plants someone else can use.

I think some of the thick, succulent foliage in this is ice plants.

Edited to say 'nope, wrong picture.'
