Would an Orchid Tree grow in Shelton?

I work next door to Providence hospital in Olympia and there are several trees that I believe are Orchid Trees growing beautifully there. I was wondering if they would grow in Shelton. They don't seem to be "approved" for our climate, but then again Olympia seems to have a very similar climate and the ones there are quite healthy.

Anyone have any thoughts? Anyone ever seen one in Shelton?
