WANTED: authentic Italian FRAGOLA grape,"Strawberry Grape"

(Taylor) Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

I am looking for the authentic Italian FRAGOLA grape,"strawberry grape", that was brought over from Italy.
I'm told Isabella is not the same grape.

Any of you Italians have any of this to spare??
I have lots to trade in exchange

I'm told if you ask any Italian gardener living here in the US, they probably have it, and that it was smuggled here(originally), and passed along among the Italians. For this reason, it is hard, if not impossible to find, in commerce.

Isabella and concord are supposedly from that lineage, but not as good as the parent and original Fragola grape...

Sorry, I don't have a picture...only the description that the grapes have a strawberry flavor, and in Italy they make wine and jam with it...

seed, maybe posting in the CA forum might help. also, maybe your local extension office can give you name(of people that are into grapes.

I was thinking maybe the international forum. But I noticed Deacon's Nursery in UK had it.. You might want to check with them if they mail to the US.
