Goodbye LadyBird. Texas will miss you. Heaven's garden just gained a beautiful bluebonnet.
Goodbye to LadyBird
Lady Bird's legacy will prove to be more than most all of the different presidents.

I agree wholeheartedly with you both..
Lynn
she lived a long life..
She was my Heroine.
I watched a PBS special on her the other day. Quite impressed with her background/upbringing. The show made it seem like her later years were based on building up her husband's political career. Which it said she begged him not to go into. That was to funny! I am certainly glad she cleaned up the billboards that litter the highways!
Every time I drive the highways in the spring since the mid-'80's I've "thanked" her! Now we have wildflowers and no billboards. The wildfower center is beautiful - hope everyone can go someday.
Josephine - you do a wonderful job of honoring her with your dedication to wildflowers and natives. I learn so much from you!
May her dedication to beauty live on in each one of us.
Yes, she made a wonderful contribution towards making this world a more beautiful place, we all need to do our best to follow her example.
