This little hoya pig went to the Hawaiian market - and got h. aff. sp. Abbas and h. aff. clemensorium. I LOVE these leaves - very "Jurassic-Park-looking!!"
Karen
Anyone have any thoughts on light and watering needs of these? Thanks in advance! K.

New hoyas
Whoa, Karen....that Ti looks fresh as a daisy!!!!
I grow both hoyas in 2 environments: fairly deep shade outdoors and in rather bright indirect light in the greenhouse. They thrive both ways and bloom as well!

Beautiful plants, kabob!! Thanks for sharing.
Larry
nice granite counter tops too.
So glad they arrived healthy! It was the LEAST I could do for all your generosity :)
Gabi
Bhavana - the h. sigillatis and h. loheri are beautiful!! But I'm partial to the h. Liza Blue!!

Thanks, I like her too. And the plants are great, I can't believe I have a sigillatis. It is outside now hanging under one of the eaves where it gets bright light and about one hour of direct sun in the morning... and god help the squirrel that even LOOKS at it. I have my 12-gauge ready.
I love that sigillatis.....what beautiful leaves!!!!!
3gardener, you should have seen the mama plant that they had there for taking cuttings from, a hanging basket with vines about 3 feet long, getting lots of light so lots of that purply-red leaf color, in bloom with those pale orange flowers...It was the first sigillatis I ever saw in person, and it was awesome. What is good about the one I bought is that there are 4 little plants in that pot, already a few little vines poking their way out, and it will be a nice full plant eventually.
I love love love it, so much so that I am kind of nervous leaving it outside, what with all the destructive squirrels and local hoya theives and such. I was at school the other day and a pretty rough thunderstorm came through, and all I could think about was what if a freak wind comes along and blows my poor sigillatis off of it's hook? Of course, the fact that I paid so much for it makes me feel pretty protective towards it as well.
PS - the one Gabi bought had more colorful leaves
