CLOSED: looking for bee balm

Seguin, TX(Zone 8b)

I am looking for some bee balm for my mom. Any color is fine, but she really liked a dark red one we saw over the weekend.

Thanks, Kim

Does it grow well from seed? Never tried that. In past years, at my former house, I purchased plants.
Does it take long to flower

Dan to the rescue! You must have a massive garden - you need to email me some pictures. shihtzumarley@verizon.net

When you get time, I would love some red bee balm. I'll postage you. Or I do have Pussy Willows - about 6 inches tall or rooting in water but not yet planted will be 2 ft long Willows in a couple weeks. Have lots of Rose Of Sharon - purple/pink. I have black hollyhock seeds - they are stunning plants. They stand about 10 ft tall and blackish purple.

Hey Kathy, It just keeps growing, and growing and growing. My monarda is now 2 years old and put on quite a show this year and attracted a lot of bee's and hummers. I unfortunatley didn't take pictures of it and it is now winding down, I will look tommorrow and see if pictures are worth taking. It really spreads so give it alot of room.

I have a beautiful rose of sharon in my front yard, and a ton of seedlings in my grass so I will pass on that one. I have thinned out my hollyhocks, I too had the black, now I just have peaches and dreams. But you could interest me in the pussy willows, is that a bush? or a tree and how large does it get?

You and blue eyes will get my divisions of monarda, I will have to cut them down to fit in a priority box, so you may not see to much this year but watch out next year. It also has a fragrance.

Thanks Dan. I would love the mondarda - Cut away - I won't see any of it grow this year since it's so late.
