Well heck, I was gonna say I have some hoya plants I would like to trade off.

Charlotte, NC

hmmm, I'm not sure what this was all about but I have a few plants to trade as well. Tami?

Mine are more common but I have small plants of obovata, pink pubicalyx 'splash', fungii, aff. carnosa, and carnosa. I could also include an australis ssp. tenuipes cutting.

I'd even take cuttings in return, I don't need full plants.

anyone?

Oh, It just occured to me what you both are thinking. i'm very sorry for the confusion.

I was just advertising that I had hoyas in the plant trading forum, in case anyone from this forum was interested in a trade. That thread was closed quickly as I received the traders I needed. This forum (hoya forum) is not a trading forum and I did not mean to start one. Please forgive me for the intrusion. I guess I should not have advertised here.

My bad, I didn't realize trades weren't allowed here and I had a hard time deciphering your starting post.

Let me turn this into something positive now...

Would you ming telling me what carnosa this is :) There's some new and old growth, I hope it helps. I would like to know how to properly represent it in the future when I do offer trades.

I have seen several post of people wanting to trade. The Iris, Daylily, Morning Glory etc. Forums all have post about plants, seeds etc, being up for trade. I didn't realize they had a plant trading forum. I need to go read the rules again, this doesn't make much since. Did someone complain that you had posted a hoya for trade?

Oh MullettMan.....I know the name of that one.....It's called "KimsKreations New Addition" *lol*. I'm just playing around with you *lol* VERY Pretty!!!

that is definitely the "I'm a purdy hoya" subspecies!

just a thought - it would have been helpful if the first post included a link to the post in the plant trading forum.... Excellent trade post, btw! Sounds like you managed an efficient trade and hopefully everyone will be happy.

No one told me I shouldn't. I just read somewhere that we shouldn't trade here, because there is an actual forum for that, & because we're encouraged to use our trade lists (the trading tab at the top).

I'm just a beginner hoya grower and somewhat new to Daves Garden, but I think your carnosa might be variegata because the variegation is on the outside edge. Beautiful coloring on that one.

Thankyou Keyring. My trades aren't complete yet., we're handling them thru D-mail. And no, I made a lot of mistakes with the d-mails. Not very efficient this time. But I know what you meant. It looked like it by how quickly it closed.

I like to trade, & this forum is really neat. Some of you are sooo funny. I've had some good laughs today reading some of the old forums. Sense of humor is a good thing. Nice to meet you all. Cindy

I d-mailed you MulletMan

Mulletman, your hoya is H. carnosa Tricolor "Krimson Queen".

I had no idea trading wasn't permitted on this forum. I'm quite sure that information is an error.

I think trading is allow on this forum, too, Christine. In fact, most stuff is allowed except promoting one's own business or selling outright. I thinking trading is a bonus...and then folks can go off and D or Snail mail eachother. cflower...don't worry...we won't turn you in.... LOL. Actually...we do alot of stuff here and so far no one has gotten turned in!!!!

I aint too proud to beg and have always asked openly on any forum that i've been on for whatever type of plant I was looking for to trade. I have learned not to ask about buying plants from vendors because management here does frown upon that.

I dont think they have any problems with anyone asking to do trades within a particular forum itself. You can visit almost any of the plants forums on a daily basis and find at least one person asking for something in trade.

A lot of people including myself never go to the trades forum. If I have something to trade I either post it within the forum itself or directly dmail someone whom I may be interested in doing a trade with. I dont use the DG trades list because i maintain one on paper right beside my computer and its much easier for me to keep track of what i'm doing.

Thankyou, I like the idea of trading here. By the way, thanks for the kenejiana carol. I think I'm going to love that one. This was a good gardening day with couple of my plants budding, showing 7 growth. Yeh!! Thanks for the information everyone. I'm happy. Cindy
