Caught this on the rock garden steps last evening. I have been seeing fewer and fewer ribbon snakes around the gardens. Guess there is a reason--lol!

Going......
Disappearing Ribbon snakes!
Excellent photos! I've only seen a snake eat another snake once around here.
No lump in the middle of your snake! I'd call that a spread out meal!
This is a case of "it is disturbing, but fascinating at the same time".
Or
Eeeeeuuuwww.....um, wow, cool.
Equillibrium, This is the first for me. What was amazing is that the Ribbon was only about 10" shorter than the King--And thanks for the compliment. :o)
cpartschick, I agree with the sentiment!

Tee he, your snake is to snakes that can fit into its mouth what bullfrogs are to other frogs that can fit into its mouth. Come to think of it, bullfrogs will eat garter snakes around here and I've seen a video of one gulping down a garter and I have no idea where he stuffed it all but he did. Can we all say, "down the hatch"!
I still think it's pretty wild that your snake ate another whole snake. Fat little piggie!
Great pics Rock. Got any smokes in the area?
Ahhhh, he's a gorgeous specimen .. Bill/rockminer!
And some wonderful shots you captured, too.
His posing (while dining) helped a lil bit, 'ey. (hee)

I agree. The Kings are beautiful creatures and I'm always happy to see them around the place.
Thanks for the kind words!
Bill
