need a place to shop for salvia in the dallas area
I would first check out the Home Depot Landscape stores. These are the "mother ship" home depot nurseries with way more plants than the average HD. I go to the one on 6000 E Skillman ---it's next to where the old Don Carter East Bowling Center used to be (Skillman and Loop12). The other one I go to is on Frankford and G. Bush (North Carrollton). Someone told me there is one in Frisco also.
I picked up mystic spires salvia at the 6000 skillman Landscape HD about 3 months ago. They also had greggi, autumn sage, a few others---can't remember right now.

There are multiple Calloway's in Dallas. They usually have a good salvia selection.
There are SuperWalmarts on just about every major intersection
As far as great non-chain nurseries check out the following
Bruce Miller
Bruce Miller Nursery
www.brucemillernursery.com
1000 E Belt Line Rd
Richardson, TX 75081
(972) 238-0204
North Haven Gardens (75 & Royal Lane) is good. www.nhgardens.com
Rohde's Nursery in Garland (635 & N. Grand Ave) has a good selection of salvia. www.beorganic.com
Shades of Green in Frisco is also a good place to find salvia, though may be a bit too far north of Dallas.

Try also Lakewood Nursery, now installed where the Arcadia Theatre burned down last year -- Greenville Ave. just south of Richmond intersection.
