A huge gaud one for sure. I bought this one sight unseen because it was such a huge, beautiful plant. Then I found 2 more huge ones so I bought them too. Now I have 3 in bloom and am so happy!
Magnifique
I am in serious LOVE!
It sure is.
kell....STOP!!!!!!!!!!! you will be living in the hibiscus POOR house!!LOL LOL
Kyle :-)
Gorgeous!
Oh Kyle, don't I know it. I am broke but happy. LOL That is the trouble with no longer working. You have way too much time to get into trouble and way too little money coming in to support all the extra hours you have to shop. Happily for me, I do not do our finances, I just spend it all. Poor, poor Tom, a man of few needs thankfully! LOL You should see what I got yesterday....(Euphorbia lactea ‘Rainbow Crest’ - - a new color indulgence) .... could make a grown lady cry!
Karen, don't you just love all the colors in this one. It might be my favorite.
I have been dying to show you guys this brand new bloom. I have had 2 whirlwind days of garden sighteeing and did not have a chance to even look much at the photos. I went out to the back yard to have tea the other other morning and stopped dead in my tracts. I think it was more of a purple color than my camera shows.
Wow Kell, That's a gorgeous flower!!
Isn't it a beautiful flower???? I had a bloom today too, but it got wilty from the heat before I could take a pic :-(
Is it real hot where you are, Karen?
So it only lasted part of a day? I really think being cool here helps sometimes for the blooms to last and last. But I am also afraid it slows down the bud production.
It was 98 yesterday, and it's funny, the middle part stayed fluffy, but the outer petals got wilty. Usually this one last two days for me too, but it doesn't seem to happy once the thermometer nears 100...
Sounds like me!! At 100 degrees I would be crying and so wilted.
I had so many great blooms today but I was out back only for a couple of minutes to water. I was out most for the day, flew home to change for dinner, watered real fast and then out we went again to San Francisco for the best Italian meal we have had in ages and ages. So no photos were taken! Shoot.
Must have been a really good meal for you to have stopped and eaten. :-)))))
I have been noticing that my hibiscus seem to be sensitive to extreme changes in temperature. Sudden spikes or drops put them in a pout.
