What does your chicken have? Has your vet made a diagnosis?
There are a few diseases or toxic poisoning (i.e. Botulism) that can cause neurological symptoms in chickens.
Aaaaawwwwwwww poor thing !!! If the medicine can go in the water that's ok, assuming they drink enough, other than that the only time I've medicated a chicken was to pry open the beak and slowly use a dropper to give medicine (liquid obviously).
Any confirmed diagnosis yet ??
Julie
Yeah, that's what we are doing, although she doesn't love getting the old dropper down the throat!
According to feather fanciers, silkies are prone to neurological issues, due to their skull formation, and vitamin e helps. She'll either outgrow it or not. If not, she'll have to be a house hen. the DH is going to love that! LOL!
The man on feather fanciers said that it did not appear to him to be a disease like mereks or anything else. So, maybe it is just a congenital issue. I'm going away for a week, so the DH is on chickie duty starting tomorrow, but I'll update you when i get back. I'm headed down Eufaula's way!

Did you see post in the other thread saying that guy is NOT a vet?
yes i just did, so I edited the post. You can see what i said about it there.
Apparently the condition is called wry neck and it affects silkies as well as other crested birds and other animals.
