Help Identifying plant

Glace Bay, NS(Zone 5b)

Hello Fellow Canucks,
I am new to gardening and am not quite sure if this is a weed or not. It grew really fast and I don't remember planting anything like it. Can anyone tell me what it is?

Does this look like your plant's flowers? http://davesgarden.com/pf/showimage/575/

If the link above looks like your plant you might want to scroll down on this page:

Thank you Lilypon.......sorry to say it sure looks like it. As soon as I saw it I remembered it from last year. It is rather pretty but totally invasive. It is coming up and growing like wildfire everywhere. From what I read from other postings it is almost impossible to get rid of. I have it planted near 3 hydrangeas, I hope it won't overtake them. Hope Moose Jaw is having better weather than here in NS......rainy and chilly
Thanks again

I'm sorry for you too Blue re Hell's Bells (another common name for it ;).

Nope weather is no better here.... we've been hailed out and they keep threatening more (tornadoes are another possibility).

Try hand painting with Round-Up (if you can't spray). PITA I know (I've been fighting it for years here).

Oh dear!

Dig, Dig , Dig or as Pam suggests paint the leaves with round up if you cant dig everything. It will dake a long time but worth it. You can get rid of it but it takes time and persistance!
