Aside from a few sprinkles, we've had almost a drought here in Ottawa. Over last night and this morning, we had a really good soaking.
For my community project, this was such a relief. I've held back planting so many of my seedlings because it was just too hot and dry. This week, I put them in anyway because they were overgrowing in their cubes, and I dragged hoses and watered all day and overnight.
So glad to have the rain!
Finally a good rain in Ottawa
That's good to hear......we had some brief rain early last week and about 1/2 of an hour of sprinkles yesterday. Rain is possible for our area today, tomorrow, and Wednesday so I'm keeping all my fingers crossed.
The plants have all perked up so well, and showing side shoots and blooms. What a relief! Cosmos, marigolds, cannas, coleus...
