I have some garlic from the supermarket that has already sprouted. Will it produce anything if I plant it at this time of year or would it be a waste of time?

It should be all right if you keep it moist and let it over-winter. Anyway, you don't have much to lose. ☺

I have planted grocery store sprouting garlic. It grows and makes garlic next year. It may not be the most wonderful variety, but I have never had bad garlic.
