Citrus Flatid Plant Hopper (Metcalfa pruinosa)
Very nice pic. What camera/lens did you use? Also, what region/state/county and month of the year? Are you sure this is the M. pruinosa, and not the Anormenis chloris or the Ormenoides venusta? I have seen the same critter as the one in your photograph on two separate occasions. First was in the urban landscape, in Houston, Texas, on a cleyera. Second was in nature, in Cat Spring, Texas, on a live oak. I have been calling him the two-spotted grey ghostie planthopper, because I haven't been convinced that he's a M. pruinosa, but that's sure the one! Thank you!
