I love how it has stayed cupped like this. But I have seen other photos where it is flat and the color a bit different.

kell wonderful colors, as for the cupping, some hybrids cup in hot weather "Hot Ticket" is always cupping like this in the heat of summer.Flattens out in cooler weather.

Good to know, Kyle. You are so smart! I had no clue. The colors are very bright on this one. Big flowers too.

I went to the Marin Farmers' Market to see David yesterday. He is such a nice guy. I got 2 more hibiscus. One is kind of like Bon Temps. I need to go look at the name. The other I have wanted since last year, Black Dragon. I can't wait till the bud opens!! I have seen so many special blooms of that one on here.

David sells out early. His is a popular stall. Hard to walk by these huge blooms!

Kell, you are so fortunate to live up there with all the magnificent plant vendors and outdoor markets. You're gonna love Black Dragon. I'm such a Black Dragon piggy that I've got two - one in a pot and one in the ground :-)

About the cupped flowers, I'm noticing that The Color Purple does the same in high heat. Here's today's bloom, almost looking like color pink ;-)
