Got bored today... back was hurting so much, I couldn't do much else... got the camera out and did some macro work.
I'll share my furry friends close up, if you'll show me yours!
Hey! What can I say??? I'm easily entertained!

Show me your furry friends...
Hi Karen,
Nice pics. What type of camera do you use? Hope your back feels better. Both my twin sis and my dad are having lower back pain now, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :) He just had two short hospital stays with it. After this last one he has been here with me and my family for a week now, resting and getting waited on, so he's getting spoiled. After the first hospital stay he stayed one night with me and then drove himself home and did ??? Two nights later he was in the ED. I work there as a nurse so it was hard that night. It was crazy (literally) that night! I had my little sis come in to be with him. My twin sis just had and MRI done...don't have results yet.
Back to plants, I don't have luck with episcias, at all. I won't buy anymore because I will just kill them. I do great with AVs and strepts though. Hope you feel better soon.

Harley's furry too!!! I didn't specify, so... no problems here!
Very cute!!!
Laura... thank you for your kind thoughts.
My back is irreversibly injured, to the point of permanent disability now. A rough six months, and I have not been able to share the whole story with my DG friends here. But... I keep on keepin' on! One day, one step!
My camera is a Canon PowerShot A630 8 megapixel. I don't even know all it can do yet, but I've had alot of fun with it. I love macro work! I've always thought the beauty is in the details, and that's one of the reasons I love gessies, and especially episcias so much... they have so much detail, and texture, and color!
You should try the episcia 'Kee-wee'. She is durable, big, and very forgiving... episcias greatest sensitivity is to cold... they hate it! They can never go below 50 degrees. They don't much like it super hot either. 'Kee-wee' was my first, and I keep it in an east window, in a clay pot no less!
I'm sorry for your suffering Karen but your attitude "one day, one step" is truly admirable with all you must have been through and are going through!!!
Your macro photos are enviable!!! I love your furry friends :)))

Yay Keyring! I knew you would have some great shots to share! Thanks!
Joseph... I remeber the thread you started on this plant, and it is still just as gorgeous!
Thanks for sharing and keep them coming!!!
Karen
Oh, you do have Beautiful Furry Friends! Remy looks like she is posing for that photo.
Here is Miss Princess ... she was my Mom's cat and came to live with us when my Mom passed a couple of years ago. I have been saying she should have been named "Queen" cause she thinks she is Queen of the world! She hates other cats and is always picking fights with the others! She wants to be boss and rule the household!
Queen is beautiful too, Lin... but WOW!!!! I love that room! Not only is it pretty, but you have plants displayed so nicely, everywhere! I am impressed! Just like I was impressed by Gail's porch.
One of these days.... one of these days, I will have a house with something like that (I hope...)
Hee hee .... I will sell you my house! LOL. I would Love to downsize! But, it will be another 7 or 8 years before we sell the house and do that ... when hubby retires! My house isn't all that large, only 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, living, dining, study, kitchen, 2 car garage .... and then the enclosed florida room and covered deck and screened pool area. We are on two lots, so it makes for a lot of mowing every week, nine or ten months out of the year! I just want a small cottage or townhouse with a screened porch, preferably in the mountains of North Carolina or Tennessee!
