Hello from Ruther Glen,VA

Ruther Glen, VA(Zone 7a)

I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I'm so glad I found this website. I can see there is a wealth of knowledge here and I can't wait to explore and learn from all of you. I'm a novice gardener and my main interest is attracting butterflies and hummingbirds. I posted a thread in the plant id forum if anyone wants to check it out and can help me figure out what it is I would much appreciate it.

Good afternoon, I think if you dig into the forums you will find that one of them is dedicated to attracting wildlife. - Hang on - I'll try to find you a link:

Thank you all for your kind words. I'm really loving this website. The only problem is there is soo much to read about and only so much time!

Get a broad-band account for the internet ie cable etc., then you do not have to wait so long for a page to load. This is a great site, and in my current "medicated" state I do not know what I would do without it and everyone here (including you).

Welcome, sandykey! Yep, beware, Dave's Garden can be habit-forming--but what a fun habit to have!

Welcome to Daves

Hi everyone! And to Jo- Ruther Glen is about 30 minutes or so north of Richmond. It's very small, not much here except truck stops and farms. I moved to Virginia from the Florida Keys 3 years ago, so honestly, I don't know that much about Virginia. I still have a lot to learn!

Welcome to DG Sandy :) Make sure you visit the Mid Atlantic forum! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/region_mida/all/ I'll be posting some information soon about plant sales this fall and one of them is close to you at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond!
