I don't know how much the Moon has to do with it, but I have seen two threads get rather ugly in the last two days. Seems too coincidental to me! Usually DG is full of fun, happy people helping each other out with gardening tips, life tips and just plain tips. In two completely unrelated threads, and two unrelated topics (and these were just the ones I was lurking in!), tempers were flaring and accusations were flying! Wonder if the waning moon has something to do with posting on DG? Dave, did you start this site at the proper Moon time? Laughing a little - but maybe a little serious too.
Emotions, Posting, and the Moon
LOL, Islandshari - notice everyone's afraid to answer and I'm just being real noncommital???!!!
ever bring it to the attention of a Moderator? they could possibly nip it before it goes further.
and ya ever notice on the full moon folks seem to comment on drivers on the road.... Ya always here something like ... must be a full moon, all the insane drivers. IT tends to bring the "wacko" out in the best of us... or maybe it just accentuates the wacko-ness in wackos.
But i would be the moon phase has to do with tempers flaring.... or this darned heat.

I didn't need to.....it was done! But, its true....full moons and emotions are tied together. Was raised knowing this, and it has verified itself to me so many times over my lifetime. I try not to make any major decisions during the full moon because 1) the uforia from good things happening is heightened; or 2) the despondency from bad things happening is accentuated.
I raised three daughters, and the PMS at our house around the full moon was ALWAYS worse than at other times. Why do you think folklore and monster movies always take place during a full moon.....
if i would have had a choice, my recent gall bladder surgery would NOT have been on the full moon in june. complications continue, as does pain, and tests show nothing amiss.

Hmmmm - interesting. I never put those "2 and 2" together. I'll have to add that to my "calendar" and see how I'm feeling when those 2 coincide.
I'm just learning about all this "moon" stuff... but it all makes sense.
When i was in the hospital having my first... I over heard the nurses in the hall saying something about the moon. I don't recall which phase it was [i was only 20 at the time, and really wasn't thinking about much else other than getting the kid out of me] -- but i guess at whatever moon phase, there are many more deliveries than at other phases.
Darius, sending warm, healing thoughts your way. Sure hope you feel better soon! Had GB surgery myself a year ago Memorial day....but I felt okay pretty soon after. Think positive thoughts!
The moon and her influence on our lives is fascinating, misunderstood, mysterious, and ancient. I am so glad this forum was started!
