Episcia ID maybe.....

North Augusta, ON

I was given a cutting of this one from Hubby's Mom 4 years ago...I keep him to the side of a west window. He's in a 12 inch hanging basket. Anybody know his name?

It's very pretty and I like that silvery cast to the leaves, too...maybe it's Silver Sheen??? Check that one out and see if you can make a good comparison.
Pics are sometimes hard to tell the true color, but you have the plant for reference, so you should be able to do it...

failing that ... go to ebay and search the episcias, you might find a pic of one that might be close...

Maybe Silver Queen???

I really like that color but don't know which one it is...........good luck..........maybe someone will come along who knows more than i do......

Good call, MsC. I'm gonna go with 'Silver Queen', 'Silver Sheen', or 'Silver Lace'. Based on the photos I found below, I'm leaning mostly to 'Silver Lace'.

This one is 'Silver Queen'...

'Silver Sheen'...

'Silver Lace'...

Where's Amy? She's good at this too! Tell me what y'all think...

It sure looks like Silver Lace...but isn't Silver Lace a mini? or Dwarf..er...whatever they call them in the episcia world?

'Silver Skies is the tiniest and I think it has the same colors as Silver Lace.....I vote for a version of Silver Lace...................I am glad you like to identify, Wild Rose!!!!!!!

I just like episcias, that's all. And I can't even watch a TV show if I don't know what the name of it is! LOL!

We are all so different in personality and makeup.........I lost the names all the time........even on new named avs and episcias..........does it bother me????? not at all. I just got some minis and every single plant was marked with a marker..........this morning I stuck 5 leaves with no name from Rob............

Oh, I have some noids too... two AVs, and some episcia seedlings from a packet Key sent me. But when the AVs bloom, and the episcias get larger, you can bet I will be trying to ID them, even if it's only for my benefit.

I'm very Type B actually, but I just like everything to have a name! LOL!

Not sure what I am seriously...........I am slowly getting rid of noids I don't get excited about.........I am just not a detail person about anything.........you wouldn't want me organizing your house for sure!!!!!!!!!!

My adult children come a couple of times a year to both see me and organize everything in my house........i can keep it together for about six months and then need help from them as it is all a mess again.

I am very particular about dirt........almost fanatical about dirt in the house but don't seem to mind the clutter at all............

I'm here, Karen! LOL We were gone most of the day yesterday, so I'm just now catching up.

Honestly, I can't find an ID that I'm happy with for this one. Not that I know a lot about Episcias, mind you. I'll keep looking, though. :o) It's like a quest... LOL
