I was so glad to see this order arrive from Rob's with decent sized plantlets. I sure hope I can do well by these guys and have them grow and thrive. My very first ever Nautilocalyx, Pentadenia and Petrocosmea!

There simply is no grower as good as Rob's..........based on my experience.........I ordered last time from Kartuz and got stuck with 35.00 plus shipping for plants that were dead when they got here!!!!!!!!!!

Back to Rob's next time.........he grows such healthy plants........i ordered from him the Pentadinia plant............

good luck.................nice order!!!!!!!!!!

Nice selection!
That plantlet of Columnea Light Prince is the prettiest one I've seen.

Congrats on your new babies.

Nice plants!!!! I notice a trend lately on this forum....everybody is starting to like the gesneriad side a wee bit more than the AV side....nice choices Lin...

Thanks Y'all.

Threegardeners: I have grown an AV here and there over the years but had never even heard of some of these other Gessie plants before joining DG! Some have such difficult to pronounce names that (to me) it sounds like they would be difficult to grow! I am loving Chirita's and have aquired a few! Columnea's are new to me as well as the Pentadenia and Nautilocalyx ... so I sure hope I can keep them alive! I will keep y'all posted on my new little babies!

Lin

They all look super, Lin! Congratulations!

I find a lot of the other Gessies to be easier to grow than AVs. That's why I'm leaning more toward them than AVs.

I know that's why I'm attracted to growing these other Gessie's .... I don't have a lot of trouble with AV's, but they just seem a bit fragile and more prissy to me for some reason! :) Of course, I'm new to ALL of these other Gessie's ..... so, we'll see how I fare with them!

I have to agree that I find the AVs a bit more fussy than some of the other Gessies. But you guys show some of the most gorgeous AVs I've ever seen, especially the variegated ones... I never knew there were variegated AVs 'til I joined DG.
