I think about a year ago, someone posted in the seed trading forum that in order to get seeds from out of the States, legally of course, you need to file some federal form. Not sure what would happen if you didn't fill out the form, though. But I would guess at the very least you would risk not getting your seeds.

The name Mauro Peixoto is at the bottom of the pages at this site, so I'm assuming the pages belong to him. I knew I recognized that name, but couldn't place it yesterday. This morning it dawned on me. Remember the cool site I kept sending you to in the Bingo game? http://www.gesneriads.ca/ The Gesneriad Reference Web... Well, some of the pictures there are from him. Yep, on the seed page, he says "Write me for details". Ask about prices, too, of course, and I might get you to include a couple packages for me to save us on shipping charges. If you wouldn't mind, of course. :o)

YUP! Spend a lot of time on his site. My ABS friends buy seed from him and grow for their branch sales.

Do you know any info about getting seeds from him that might help us out?

Mauro is a nice guy, and he sends seeds fast after payment.

edited to say I have a paypal account but can't access the password because I am on a loaner computer while mine is being built..........have a temporary email address........will get my new computer by the end of next week with the right email address.....then i can get my password to my paypal account....

I bought a couple Aristolochia species and a Salvia seeds...can't advise on these groups. I did look at the Gesneriad seed list long and hard though and will probably order some to play with in the future.

I think I wrote him a while ago, seeds were like $3 a packet, minimum of 6...can't find the silly e-mail now...it's here somewhere I know it is.....

If you email him your list of plant seeds you want, and ask him about availability, he will respond eventually. That price is what I remember, and it is $3 for shipping.
