new wildflower

Boerne new zone 30, TX(Zone 8b)

new wildflower is coming up all over. Don't know that I planted it. Haven't seen it before in 6 years here. What is it?

Nada, it looks like American Germander to me, a lovely Texas Native plant.

I agree, probably that's it. They bloom in summer. A bit invasive, but it's okay if it's where you can control it. It was probably around before this, but with all the rain, it came up in other locations.

yea this is under the oaks (see pic) where it gets a bunch of shade and usually about the only thing that grows there is natives that decide to come up. I haven't planted much there yet... only pulled things up.

I have a big clump of this in a shady spot this year. I had been racking my feeble brain trying to figure out what I planted there and then forgot. Makes me feel a little better to know it came up all by itself. Mine has lots of blooms and is in a spot that I'd be happy for it to invade all it wants.
