Jackie, what a beautiful scene you have there. I want to come and sit under that tree.

but some of my babies I think I may loose to rot from too much roots in the rising standing waters

the native willow tree has a trumpet vine that grows thru in in the late spring.......unfortunately under it is poison oak that I can't seem to be rid of

One of the few joyful things about getting old is that you can retire to the country. Disadvantage....you may have to eat the flowers :>)

Jackies pond is relaxing indeed, until........one looks further ....what's that?! A snake swigging down an entire fish whole? Indeed, Jackie has the most amazing national geographic like picture of that very exciting moment.
