Hey All!
I am so excited to show how my new garden is doing. Everything seems to grow so much bigger and better at this garden than my old community garden space I just wanted to share it with you, and thank everyone for their words of support, seeds, and advice.
I named my new garden, My Dave's Garden, because most of it came from fellow DG'ers.
I got into taking pictures as a hobby last year, but unfortunately, my digital camera had a unfortunate accident with a bottle of Vitamin Water and is no longer functioning.
Anyhoo, this first one is my sweet potatoes.

Gorgeous!!! You must be so pleased with your new garden and all the goodies you'll pick from it!
The variegation on 'Fish Pepper' has always been highly variable on the plants I've grown, just a splash here and there on some of the leaves. I've been trying to save seeds from the more variegated plants each year, but so far that hasn't had much effect on what grows out. I do isolate plants of this variety for seed saving because I like it so much and don't want to take chances with having it be cross-pollinated. The peppers should be striped with cream or a lighter green color, but this striping also seems to be variable, even on peppers developing on the same plant. Your peppers look like 'Fish Pepper' to me, so the flavor at least should be "right." Let me know how you like them, especially once they get red!
I'm not sure I can explain the purple color, but I see that on some varieties also (both hot and sweet), and I wonder if it has to do with growing conditions (lots of sun?).
Your "yellow" bell pepper should change color as it ripens. :-)
Thanks Critter. The peppers do look like fish except the color, I haven't tasted any yet. The bottom half of the plants are variegated leaf wise and the top is all green. I think it looks beautiful though. I was wondering about the yellow bells, because my purple bells are purple small.
How awesome!
I've grown yellow bells, and they start out green and ripen to yellow (never changing to red). I think the ivory colored bell peppers start out pale, just as your purple ones start out purple, but red and orange and yellow ones all start out green as far as I know.
Thanks Critter. Thanks Kmom...how's it going K?

Great Pics Kanita!
You certainly have a very varied garden. Did you only grow one tomato type?
My purples actually started out green as did my chocolates. Does the change in color phases depend on the variety? My Ivory bells did start out pale and have taken on a creamy color.
My fish peppers are the only ones that have not produced fruit yet. Are they late bloomers?
BB
Hey BB! I have a few different tomato types, but limited amount of photos due to the camera mishap. I am growing momotaro, prudens purple, black brandywine, paul robeson, pink grapefruit, black cherry & roma. I think the change in color does depend on the variety, I am growing lilac bells and they are dark purple small, but are supposed to lighten to a more lavender color. My fish peppers started producing a few weeks ago, not a whole lot mind you but about 6 per plant right now. How are the rest of your peppers coming along?
Wow - awesome. I'm probably just a freak, but I always completely enjoy looking at photos of vegetabe plants and vegetable gardens.
If thats the case Veggiehappy, then we are all freaks.
Gorgeous. You should be feeling great about this, kanita.
Hello, my name is Zeppy, and I can't stop driving around neighborhoods to gawk at veggie gardens. Even though my children are begging me to.
Hahaha Zeppy. I hear you.
LOL
