Everyone, have a safe and pleasant day - enjoy those barbeques - and be careful with the fireworks - you want all 10 fingers for gardening!
Happy Fourth of July!
Well Happy 4th to you also. Gonna be a beautifuuuuulllll day to plant.

You bet - I have some lavender to move. And I am trying very hard to resist ordering more roses from Heirloom.
how did the terrace planting go?
Martha
Here are some of the pictures of the plants from the ru planted in the terrace :-) These new plants add lots more colour. I know that everything looks like a mess - but I am hoping that adding some colour will inspire the neighbours to let me create additional gardens (and redo this one next year.)
Anyway, I planted these the week after the RU - I'm having a dickens of a time keeping the squirrels from biting off the marigold blossoms (they don't eat them - just decapitate the plants). And the squirrels keep digging up the irises. sigh . . .

Michaela, I'm the one that brought the marigolds and begonias. I didn't grow them (obviously). The only thing I have available here for dividing is weeds. Ya want some? Heh, he
Happy 4th everyone!!!!!!!
Harper
A sparkling, safe and sane 4th to everyone!
Thanks Harper - I want you to know we all appreciate the marigolds and begonias in our neighbourhood!
sure!
Fabulous work! It looks great already! Hope it comes out like the pictures you were showing us!
Martha
I spent part of yesterday go through the plantfiles for plants that are drought hardy. there isn't an underground sprinkling system on the terrace, and dragging a hose and sprinkler, while necessary when the plants are first put in, it would be better if, once established, we could just rely on rainwater.
I was amazed at how many plants there are - of course, most are not seeds that I ordered . . .
So I will probably trade for what I need.
