Tree Philodendron, Cut-leaf Philodendron, Selloum (Philodendron bipinnatifidum)
Hi Jode,
Beautiful plant! But, it is not a Monstera Deliciosa...it appears to be a Selloum Philodendron. It's very confusing because they both get referred to as Split Leaf Philodendrons. Check out the pictures under "Philodendron bipinnatifidum", and you'll see that this is your plant. Maybe you can look into having your photo moved to the appropriate category, so that it can be properly appreciated! :)

OMG! THANK YOU Ellen so much for this information! I used the Plant Identification forum to classify this one and looks like we missed the proverbial mark. Side note: the last bank that I worked for gave it to me when I was leaving and no one knew what it was other than just a big pretty plant lol. I just LOVE being accurate! Thank you again for your help! Jode.
Does anyone know how I can get an image moved from entry #1204 (Windowleaf, Ceriman, Split-leaf Philodendron, Mexican Breadfruit / Monstera deliciosa) to entry #37036 (Tree Philodendron, Cut-leaf Philodendron, Selloum / Philodendron bipinnatifidum)?
Thanks a MILLION in advance! Jode.
Hi Jode,
Glad I could help :) It's such a lovely plant, I wanted to make sure people saw it. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who are envious that you got such a nice specimen for free! LOL It looks like you've gotten the care down pat, though...mine is considerably smaller, but it loves it outside in the shade, too. I can't wait until I have a lush, jungly plant like that! Good luck :)
Ellen
PS- I think that you can just e-mail to the admin to have it moved...
PPS- Also, if you ever end up with another plant you can't identify, go to www.gardenweb.com and post it in the appropriate forum (Houseplant, etc.). There are a ton of very friendly knowledgeable people there who would be happy to help you.
how big is that plant?
he stands about 4 1/2' tall including the small base (5") that I have him sitting upon. before i got him when he was growing indoors (with lots of sun exposure) he had several long branches that extended out about 7' - 8' and rest on the ground with a small cluster of leaves, kind of like an airplane plant. ever since i brought him home and kept him outdoors (in the shade) i haven't seen any "runners".
