I planted ozark beauty last year and had my first strawberries this year. They are small, about the size of a dime, the biggest ones are a little bigger. They are on the tart side and the production is week. I didn''t get enough for anything but a few handfuls here and there.
I would like to grow a variety that is bigger has more production and most important has a sweeter taste. Any suggestions?
Do not like my strawberry variety
Ozark Beauty produces large berries. It is also a variety recommended for your state. Did you following the growing recommendations suggested by sites like these? Stress will keep plants from producing their best.

bettydee, thanks for the link!
My berries are in a raised bed, in sun and I put compost and manure at time of planting. I keep it watered and I put a little straw for mulch. The only thing I did not do is fertilize. I try to stay organic, but am not against nonorganic once in a while for a boost. DM
My experience years ago with Ozark Beauty was that they didn't bear in June and the bugs got them later when they did bear nice fruit.......
