Hi everyone! I have been d-mailing all my friends on DG who may be affected by these terrible floods, and suddenly I realized that I am really stupid! If they are at all involved in the flooded areas, they probably don't have electricity, nor the time/inclination to get on the computer. So....if any of you know of any of our DG buddies that may be in the zones, and need help of any kind that we may be able to provide, please let me know.
Its so ironic....many of us islanders have traded contact info in case of storms, hurricanes, etc.... Little did we think of getting the same info from our mainland friends!
Floods!
I second that Shari...so many folks helped Katie and I after Ivan in 2004 and made a terrible situation a little more tolerable....If there is something that us island folk can do for our fellow DGer's....we will do what we can to assist.

I was affected slightly by the floods but we are doing good. I d-mailed Shari about it. KS though is having a heck of a time. The waters there are just now starting to go down. In Coffeyville, which is in SE KS, they have a a crude oil spill in their flood waters from the refinery in town. Alot of problems there but they are working to see what they can do.
Thanks for thinking of everyone though!! We really do appreciate it! We did lose alot of plants at work and there are damage to beds, walks and walls in certain areas. I haven't seen it first hand and haven't seen pics yet but have heard about it.
