I started a job 3 weeks ago and have barely had time to water everything every day much less really look them over for signs of buds. One I had set on my patio to make it easier to water, well, today I really LOOKED at it instead of just dumping water into it and saw it was eaten alive from mites! Out came the neem oil and as I was spraying I noticed these! I am excited but not really hopeful unless they can survive this mite attack. I sprayed all the brugs. A couple more had beginning signs of mites. I ran inside and grabbed my camera... now I need to go out and look the others over more closely for signs of buds. This one is a cutting I received last winter... I think it may be a white but did not have a name.

My first brug buds... if they survive the mites!
Congrats on the buds. Don't you just hate mites? I've had them more this year than since the first year I had brugs and didn't know what mites even were.
Ditto on that. I had no clue what mites were until overwintering. Ok, we are having the strangest weather here -- no humidity. So, everything is getting eaten up by mites. We always have humidity percentages around 50, and now, it's more like 30. I just used Bayer 3-in-1 insect, disease and mite control (only on my brugs, nothing else), and I'll tell ya what, after seeing what that stuff does to Japanese Beetles, this stuff may take care of the mites too. Ordinarily, I don't like using chemicals, but I had to do something.
ooh, tammie it looks great !
