Prefcace: I have all this beautiful basil growing in my garden. Red Rubin and Regular Italian.
My husband and I are having another couple over for dinner tomorrow night and they are on a "healthy diet" with "reduced calories". I thought Gazpacho would be ideal, and I have all the ingredients, but I want to add basil. None of the recipes I have call for basil, so I did some internet searching, and none of the recipes have basil as an ingredient, and I wondered why. I could use the flowers as a garnish, but I was thinking about adding some of the foliage, too.
Any thoughts out there on this addition?
