Odd story for you banana lovers....I had a lady from Malaysia tell me that you should NEVER bring a banana tree indoors because they host evil women's spirits. Then in the same week I hear that somewhere they found 2 coffins buried and they could not figure out what was inside...alien like.....you know what they were???? Banana trees!!! My spouse got that on the pager news one day.....weird...and scary! I used to always have a big banana indoors for the winter. It gives the house that tropical feeling to help make it to the spring. Now, well, I am not for sure anymore. I need my hardy banana to get some babies so I won't have to worry about digging them up each fall.........neat story...had to share.....

Luckily, my bananas are staying out there along the fence! I have a black pug that is a bad enough spirit in my house! :)
That's hysterical -- where do these things start from? My banana tree was inside all winter, and I don't have any additional ghosts, just the one I've had for years. However, Ms. Banana Tree is going to stay outside this winter, with some protection when it gets cold. I got really tired of walking around an 8-foot tree for several months.

That's Great!! LOL She was very serious when telling the story. Boyfriend wanted a banana tree but she would not let him have one. They were very nice though.
