THE Newfoundland bird of 2007

St. John's, NL(Zone 5b)

Well of all the vagrant birds to show up in Newfoundland, who would have expected a PACIFIC GOLDEN PLOVER! This stunning male arrived about 10 days ago but the birding community only found out yesterday! Thankfully it was located 2 hours from my home and I was lucky enough to see it after work. This bird is really confused as it should be in Alaska now.

Very nice!

I got one of these over here a couple of years ago (almost exactly! - it was on 25 June 2005).
