Beautiful strep in wonderful blue glazed pottery adorned by a stained glass dragonfly with a crystal tail. Doesn't get much better than that.

I just love the pot, the strep and the dragonfly... I so hope the strep will love it, too... I made the soil very light & fluffy and tried not to plant it too deep. I don't keep water in the bowl all the time either so I've got my fingers crossed it will thrive.

what a fabulous gift or trade!!!!!!!!

That is a lovely pot, MsC, but that dragonfly takes the cake! I love it! :o) And that's a mighty fine lookin' Strep for someone who says she can't grow Streps.... ;o)

Well, I have to fess up... that beauty came form Brennan's Orchids just as it is...I broke down & bought a few more after everyones thread on streps.. I JUST CAN'T give up....

Maybe I should send you & Brenda some leaves from the ones I bought so after I kill it yoa'll can share me one back???

Oh yes, Cheryl ,sorry ,I read too fast Yes indeed that is Blue Mars! Good eye!

And you shouldn't give up! You'll get it figured out. If I can figure out AVs, anybody can figure out any plant!

I can't get over how big that Strep is! And they sent it to you that size? Wow! That looks like the place to shop!

I'm still working on starting Streps from leaves, but so far so good. Mine had roots in 20 days. No babies yet, but I'm keeping a close watch. I'll be utterly thrilled if I can grow them from leaf like I can AVs. (And just so you don't think I'm contradicting myself, I've always been able to grow AV babies from leaves like wildfire...it's caring for them once they're bigger that gets me!)

I totally understand what you mean...For me it was the other way around... if I grow the baby then it does well... but typically if I buy a baby form someone else it dies...dunno why just does...I do much better with good size plants so that's what I spend my money on...at least I have tons of leaves to work with whereas a baby you can't take much from them.
